Courtney Love loses legal guardianship of daughter
Courtney Love has reportedly lost legal guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain. According to court documents obtained by E! Online, 17-year-old Frances has been put in the care of her grandmother, Wendy O'Connor, and aunt, Kimberly Dawn Cobain.Love has not released an official statement on the ruling, but TMZ reports that her lawyer, Keith Fink, told the website:
"Courtney wants to say she loves her daughter and she's the most important thing in her life."
It remains unclear how or why this happened. The temporary guardianship was established on Friday, TMZ reported. Love was not present at the hearing. The new guardians are relatives of Frances's father, but allegedly do not have power over the trust established for Frances after the Nirvana frontman's death.

Courtney Love no longer daughter Frances Bean Cobain's legal guardian
Courtney Love is, at least for the time being, no longer the legal guardian of Frances Bean Cobain, her daughter with the late Kurt Cobain. The former Nirvana frontman's mother, Wendy O'Connor, and sister, Kimberly Dawn Cobain, have temporary guardianship of the 17-year-old until February, MTV reports, though no control of her trust fund. Love had regained custody of Frances Bean back in 2005; she'd lost it after an overdose in 2003 at which the child, then 11, had been present. Courtney was not present in court Friday when the documents were filed, TMZ reports.
