Google is to launch its own branded mobile phone in a bid to take on Apple's iPhone.Dubbed the Nexus One, the smartphone will be the search engine giant's attempt to make headway in the lucrative market.Employees have been given handsets for testing, according to technology blogs.Until now Google's foray into the mobile market has been limited to producing the Android operating system, which has been installed on the phones of other manufacturers including Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
